The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company spent most of its day extinguishing field fires. In the morning JVFC responded to the 3000 block of Daisy Lane for a reported field fire. Units arrived on-scene with a working field fire that was held to JVFC units. Later, in 1200 block of Macton Road in Darlington, Jarrettsville was requested to respond units for a large field fire in that area. Multiple units from Jarrettsville and other jurisdictions responded and were on-scene for a number of hours before being placed back into service.
