The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an engine to respond to the Monkton United Methodist Church in the Hereford VFC first-due area. First arriving units found a fire in the steeple area of the church caused from a possible lighting strike. Engine 712 assisted crews with fire ground operations and remained on-scene before being released back by Command.
