The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with rescue in the 4100 block of Norrisville Road at 1741 hours. Units soon arrived to find a two-vehicle accident with patients that had self-extricated. One vehicle had a small fire located in the engine compartment that was quickly extinguished. Medic 791 assessed and transported one patient to an area hospital for further treatment. Units remained on scene for 40 minutes before being placed back into service.
