The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company and the Harford County Hazmat Team were requested to respond to Kefauver Lumber in the 1300 block of West Jarrettsville Road just before 6:00 p.m. Crews were called for a report of a strong irritant coming from the fertilizer storage area. Hazmat crews entered the building and located the source which had been disposed of in a trash can. Crews were able to remove all reported hazards safely and no medical transports were needed.
