The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company responded for a reported house struck by lightning in the 3300 block of Jarrettsville Pike. Units arrived, investigated and confirmed a lightning strike had occurred, causing minor damage. Crews used thermal imaging cameras to confirm that there was no hidden fire, then used positive pressure fans to ventilate a light haze from the dwelling. Units remained on-scene for approximately 30 minutes before being placed in service.
