The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported dwelling fire, located in the 2100 Block of Philips Mill Road. Chief 7 arrived first and reported a two story single family with smoke showing from the front door. After a quick investigation, fire was found in the walls behind a pellet stove. Engine 714 arrived and put a quick knock on the fire limiting the fire spread. Crews from surrounding companies assisted with overhaul and ventilation. Crews remained on scene for a brief period of time before being placed back in service.
