The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to respond an engine to the scene of a reported dwelling fire located in the 1600 Block of Chestnut Street in Whiteford. First arriving units encountered a two story dwelling with heavy smoke showing. Two additional engines were then brought to the scene from JVFC. Crews assisted units with fire attack and overhaul. Units remained on scene for an extended period of time before returning to service.
