The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company participated in the annual Opening Day Parade celebrating the start of the Jarrettsville Recreation Council's baseball and softball season. Engines 712 and 714, Brush 742, Utility 799, and brand new Rescue 751, escorted the players and coaches as they marched through town. Some of the units remained on-hand after the parade to allow spectators to examine the equipment.
