πŸ”₯ STOP GREASE FIRES BEFORE THEY START! πŸ”₯
Kitchen Safety Starts With You

🚫 What NOT To Do
β€’ Never use water on a grease fire
β€’ Do NOT move a burning pan
β€’ Do NOT hesitate to get out if the fire grows

βœ… What TO Do
β€’ Stay in the kitchen while cooking
β€’ Keep a close eye on anything frying or heating oil
β€’ Smother flames with a lid or baking sheet
β€’ Turn off the heat if it’s safe to do so
β€’ Use a Class K fire extinguisher if trained
β€’ Evacuate immediately and call 911 if needed

πŸ“Š Quick Fact
Grease fires are one of the leading causes of residential kitchen fires in the United States, with unattended cooking contributing to nearly one-third of all home fire incidents. These fires can escalate rapidly and are especially dangerous because using water to extinguish them can cause the flames to spread.

πŸ’‘ Remember: Watch What You Heat β€” Never Leave Cooking Unattended
